Drop Loot
This is the demo version of Drop Loot - the full version can be wishlisted on Steam!

Drop pairs of loot onto a board crawling with monsters. Match swords and bombs beside enemies to deal damage, or fire bows and explosive spells across the board. Match hearts to heal, shields to absorb incoming attacks, and coins to fund your build.
Larger weapon clusters hit harder, while gold-tinted attacks land double-damage criticals. Every drop can finish a monster, keep you alive, or set up a nasty surprise for an incoming wave of enemies.
Matches create space. Space creates bigger matches. Bigger matches create chains. It takes just one drop to turn the whole dungeon into fireworks.

Spend your gold in shops on dozens of stackable powers and run-changing upgrades.
One power is an advantage, but several is a strategy. Stack the right effects together and that strategy becomes an engine that feeds match into match until the entire board clears itself.
Work with what drops, discover new interactions, and hunt for the synergy that breaks the dungeon before it breaks you.

Enemies bring their health, attack damage, and armor directly onto the board. Armor absorbs your hits, crowded boards limit your options, and every missed opportunity gives the monsters more time to tear you apart.
Bosses come armed with signature attacks that force you to adapt your build and rethink how you use the board.
The deeper you descend, the stronger they become. Along the way, you’ll face regular bosses, with a final boss waiting at the end of each dungeon. Defeat it, and descent continues in endless mode - where there is always another depth, and it is always nastier than the last.

Every character, item, enemy, and boss is brought to life with chunky, hand-drawn pixel art and animation.
Behind it all is a reactive particle system that turns every fight into a fireworks show. Fire ignites bombs. Water douses fire. Lightning zaps through wet tiles.
Kills explode, the mess stays behind, and every chain reaction adds another layer to the destruction.

- Endless depths with escalating enemies and difficulty
- Dozens of shop items and stackable powers
- Synergies capable of taking over the entire board
- Bosses with signature attacks
- Critical hits and cascading chain reactions
- Hand-drawn and hand-animated pixel art
- An atmospheric soundtrack by Abstraction
- Keyboard, mouse, and controller support (with rumble!)
- 12 characters with different gameplay styles (demo Woria and unlock Arja)
- 3 dungeons with different difficulty, gameplay changes and final bosses
- Runs aren't capped to 10 depths
- Full item and power sets
Roguelite ASMR - with an unreasonable amount of blood.

Ιt kept me company in my work breaks for the past week, i've beaten both Woria and Arja many times each. I can't wait for a full release. (Ofcourse I wishlisted on Steam!)
I also think that an endless mode would be interesting!
Oh hey, I was playing BINA the other day - how cool!
Thank you so much, if you join the Steam playtest I'd love any feedback with balancing - and there's an endless mode there to try too! It should open up in the next few days. ;)
Awesomee I can't wait !!
great game, liked the effects and music
thanks man!
It's so fun and challenging! I like it!
Bravo!
cheers! appreciate the comment and glad you had fun!
I really like the graphics and polish - nice game!
Appreciate it - thank you so much for leaving a comment :)
Fun game! Very fun finding synergies or op abilities
For the first character, does the whetstone have a higher chance to trigger if more swords have a 'wasted trigger' at once? If not, I think it should
Also, a bit of a tutorial on how the bows work would be appreciated - it is unclear how the arrows and damage numbers work together (eg, do they pierce? I wouldn't have assumed so but it seems like they do, and if so, where are the arrows being shot from?
Great points and thank you!
Thanks for the spot on questions and feedback!
edit: Arja tutorial live!
Maybe I'm the only one, but I'd reeeally have preferred it if left-click and right-click were reversed. Left being drop and right being rotate feels so much more natural to me that I kept doing it by mistake again and again...
Done - you can select to swap in controls in the options menu now. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the game!
Awesome, thank you! The game is great fun :-)
edit: Hmm that new option seems to be a bit bugged for me. I turned it on and now both left and right click are rotating, oop
thanks man!
does your computer have a touch screen by any chance? pretty sure that might be the reason, just pushed an update, let me know if it fixes it! Sorry I couldn’t reproduce it on my laptop.
No touch screen, no. It does seem to be fixed now anyway (unless the bug was caused by some super specific circumstance that I also haven't managed to reproduce lol)
i could not figure out "rorate", i am a AWSD guy, but my brain didn't want to hit "W" as it goes down and W is wire "UP"... really frustrating at the start, space is okish... but it could just tell me "space" in the ROTATE message on tutorial ;)
no worries! I’ll add space to the tutorial as it’s kinda hidden right now. Plus a full controls settings tab soon!
edit: Done!
I played it and really liked it. Here is my first impressions:
Nice one, I liked the vibe!
Something I would consider a bug: Ghosts can spawn close to the top. Then items can drop directly on top of them, leading to a Game Over because of an overflow.
Generally I dislike the Game Over because of an overflow condition because most of the time there is nothing you can do about it. Unlike in Tetris, monsters can spawn at random positions and it is not much of a skill issue but pure luck if it stacks too high.
Thank you for the comment. Great spot, it's definitely a bug. It will be fixed shortly!
edit: done!
Effects are great, graphics are great, gameplay is good. Needs a little balancing between the characters, but perhaps that's also what's the fun! Woria a bit too overpowered maybe, or perhaps I've been lucky in my runs? In any way, I never got in trouble playing that character.
Anyway you seem to be on to something here in terms of nostalgic graphics and gameplay, love it!
Thank you for the feedback and kind words. Nostalgia for sure, 8-bit was my childhood!
Just updated with some balance fixes - hope you try again and let me know what you think. Long road ahead of micro adjustments for sure. :)
Addictive. Challenging. Awesome graphics. Amazing sounds. Love it.
You're awesome!
Woria is way too easy and Arja is way too hard, the fact that bows need to be combined to deal damage means they're always getting obscured by enemies and stopping you from doing any damage
Appreciate the direct feedback! There were too many enemy waves with Arja that blocked bow tiles, fixed that + updated with some balance fixes - hope you try again and let me know what you think!
so juicy and fresh i feel like i'm at a farmer's market
it took a while, but i managed to beat the jungle level on both characters! this is extremely addicting and im in love with the effects! the different bosses and their abilities is also just very fun! will be wishlisting :)
Appreciate the wishlist and your amazing feedback - made my day! Thank you for playing and commenting!
one of hte best games I've played on itch
Very interestng game. I've played just one but will be back :)
thanks Bobo, hope to see you again 🤘
What a crazy concept! I'm impressed not only by the gameplay but also by the great graphics. The balance does need some work, as several people have already pointed out, especially when it comes to the other characters. Good luck!
Such kind words - thank you! Do you find Arja too OP and Woria too hard also?
Exactly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and wish you all the best!
Thank you so much! Keep an eye out for a new build shortly, it feels more balanced (hopefully!).
Strangely, as hard as the initial run with Woria may be, winning it will unlock Arja and this one is so unbalanced, there is no challenge in winning with her/him/it at all.
Really appreciate the feedback, it’s a challenge once you’ve played and tested a game for so long to have an objective view of how hard it is, so that’s really good to know.
I’m continually updating and bug fixing the game including this demo so it will be tweaked!
edit: done!
Very nice, I love it.
thank you so much!
Is it me or this is hard as hell past stage 6/7??
it can definitely get difficult! I’m still tweaking balance, let me know any specifics you seem to have trouble with 😊
edit: done!
Yes and no. With a bit of luck, you will get past a point with the upgrades where it actually gets very easy as the game goes on.
I cannot play on my phone anymore T_T
Hi, welcome back! I understand, the game is currently being developed for Steam with all the new features, characters, levels and full desktop UI. But mobile is on the roadmap. 😊
Please join the Drop Loot discord if you like and I’ll shoot you a message about the legacy version. 🙏🏻
dude this is GOATEEEEED
AWESOME
Haha thank you so much, hope you like how the sounds sound!
This is a really original twist on the Tetris formula. The loot and strategy elements make it feel fresh while still being instantly understandable. Very clever and fun idea — great work!
Thank you for the kind words, so happy you enjoyed it! Having it understandable without needing to read 20 pages of instructions was really the goal, so that means a lot. Thanks again!
Me again! ^^
I LOVE fhe new sound design ! I used to play on miute, but now it became way more relaxing !
Awesome job buddy. Thank you again for having made such a cool game ! ^^
Aw thanks for commenting again, that means a lot! It definitely sounds great in headphones right?
Definitely relaxing! ^^
Great game, I can't stop playing it xd
Thank you so much!
This is such a fun and creative concept. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of Tetris but your twist on the genre made me play for an hour lol. Good luck with your game!
You're very kind, that's so nice to hear. If you have any requests let me know!
Thank you for the kind words and remember to take breaks 😉
